Connecting Stripe means collecting with your own account and managing payments in Stripe's dashboard. Lymonah Pay collects inside your platform, and adds Apple Pay, an on-page card form, refunds, a balance and payouts from your dashboard.

Where does the money arrive?

Connecting Stripe to your platform

Stripe is a card payment gateway. You connect your own Stripe account to your platform, the buyer pays on Stripe's hosted page, and comes back to the order.

The money goes into your Stripe account directly. Your platform records the order and opens access to the product, and none of the amount passes through it.

The buyer completes the payment on Stripe, so no card details reach your platform, and Stripe returns them to the order afterwards.
Your coupon becomes a Stripe coupon
A discount the buyer applies is created as a matching coupon in your Stripe account, under the same code, so the payment there reads like the order here.
The card brand and last digits on the order
After a successful payment the order records the card brand and its last digits, and nothing else about the card.

With the rest of your platform

Charged in your own currency
Stripe charges in the order's own currency, with no conversion and no currency margin added by your platform.
Verified before access opens
When the buyer returns, your platform checks the payment with Stripe before it records the order as paid, so access never opens on an unconfirmed payment.
Refunds live in your Stripe dashboard
A refund is issued in Stripe. Refunding from the dashboard, with the order updated and access withdrawn, is what Lymonah Pay adds.

What decides whether it appears to a buyer

Stripe collects cards on its hosted page. Apple Pay, an on-page card form and saved cards come with Lymonah Pay, not with your own Stripe account.
An order below Stripe's minimum for its currency is refused before the page opens, and the buyer picks another method.
Stripe is hidden while Lymonah Pay is switched on, because Lymonah Pay collects on its own.
